The event takes place on the private Ower Shooting Ground. The area features plenty of rugged terrain, woods and the aptly named River Blackwater. There is a large open field where the event HQ will be based allowing plenty of room for teams and supporters to gather during the event.
We are repeating the 4 hour format offering the chance to run solo, as a pair or in a team of 4. There will also be the option for kids to run a single lap of the course. You can just run a couple of laps if you wish or for the whole 4 hours - the choice is yours!
The course loop is 3.5km and has 2 river crossings which are ankle deep, plus the Ower trench and the infamous Duck Pond which is waist deep, but with an alternative around option for the kids lap. The challenge is to complete as many laps as you can within 4 hours. You can do this either on your own, as a pair or a team of 3 or 4. The pairs and teams will hand over in between each lap. This event is canicross friendly.
The kids option will allow them to run a single lap at the start of the event. They can either run by themselves or with an adult taking part. Anyone under 11 MUST be accompanied by an adult throughout the course.
There will be on site catering with hot and cold food plus there is a McDonald's within walking distance.

This is a multi lap format. The course lap is 3.5km in length. Complete as many as you can within 4 hours on your own, as a pair or a team of 4!

Registration will begin from 0815 where you will collect your race number. The event will start at 1000 including the canicross.
We will communicate final details on the day prior to the race. Timings and details are subject to change so please make sure you read the email that comes out then.

If you find you are no longer able to attend the event then you can withdraw your entry up until 1400 on the Thursday prior to the event. This is done via the online entry page selecting the option to amend your entry and then selecting the button to withdraw. Your account will be automatically credited with the entry amount for you to use at another Brutal event (it will not be refunded). If you plan to withdraw please do so in good time in case you encounter any issues so you don't miss the deadline.
