Course 20 is a Long Red course to orange standard put on for the local Maverick running club. Course is available to runners who are new to orienteering but want to run a longer distance. Course length is around 10k if run on the main paths.

Timing using SI with SIAC enabled controls. SIAC hire available. Please look after our new SIAC dibbers. We will need to charge you £72 for a replacement if you lose it.

There is a £2 supplement on entry fee for adults who are not members of British Orienteering (BOF).

Saturday 24th – Urban- Woosehill UK Urban League

Woosehill is a modern high-density housing estate divided into segments, with extensive cul-de-sacs giving significant deviations on longer legs. Previoulsy used for local events, this is the first use at the Concorde Chase Weekend.
The area is fairly close to Star Posts (just over 20 minutes / 7 miles drive).

Parking
There is limited parking based at a number of car parks about 15 minutes walk from assembly. There will be no parking at assembly except for volunteers. If driving please give your car registration on entry and we will confirm final car park details.

Start times
Start times will be from 10:30 to 12:30
There will be a separate junior start with both starts 5 minutes or less from assembly.

Entries
If you are running in your correct age class or ‘running up’, please enter the relevant class from the pull down list
If you are ‘running down’, please enter the appropriate 'Other' course from the pulldown list. Entries are in 15 minute blocks.

Closing Dates
Early closing date is Sunday 11th Jan 23:35.
Final Closing Date is Sunday 18th Jan 23:59

Sunday 25th – Concorde Chase – Star Posts

Parking
Similar to previous events at Star Posts, Parking will be spread across a number of car parks north of the Nine Mile Ride/B3430 road.

Start times
Start times will be from 10:00 to 12:30 .
Please select a start time preference between Very Early and Very Late. (See Seeding below)

Given the early sunset at this time of year, we intend to start all runners before 12:15 unless entry numbers require later start times.

Courses 3 and 5 are shared between Elite and Non-Elite classes. It is intended to have an Elite start block from 10:30 – 11:30 on these courses.

Non-Elite classes on these courses will start outside this block. ie. earlier or later.
The window size may change depending on entry numbers and other seeding considerations.

Entries
If you are running in your correct age class or ‘running up’, please enter the relevant class from the pull down list (both Long/Short or A/B classes are available for almost all ages)
If you are ‘running down’, please enter the appropriate colour course from the pulldown list.

Closing Dates
Early closing date is Sunday 11th Jan 23:59.
Final Closing Date is Sunday 18th Jan 23:59
Start Lists will be published by Wednesday 21 Jan 23:59

The event will be run following Competition Rule I – Area Long Distance Championships 2026.
(This has adjusted Expected Winning Times and suggested course/class combinations compared to the 2025 rules)
For the Sunday event, you are asked for a start time preference Very Early, Early, Middle, Late or Very Late

Seeding
Classes will be seeded according to BO rules Appendix A3
Elite Classes will have seeding applied to all entrants – your start time preference will be ignored.
Long Classes - Any entrant who is in the top 10 on the most recent ranking list for their class will be seeded. (minimum 3 mins from another seed) Your start time preference will also be used.
Short Classes – No seeding will be applied – your start time preference will be used.

Southern Championship
The Sunday event incorporates the Southern Long distance championships which is open to all BO members who have SEOA, SWOA or SCOA as their nominated region.
The Championship age categories are listed against the relevant course above.

The event also incorporates the SCOA championships which is open to all BO members who have SCOA as their nominated region.
The Championship age categories are the longest of the Elite/Long/A classes for each age group listed against the relevant course above. ie M21E,W40L,M14A etc
