EPOC - Huddesfield Urban MapRun

East Pennine Orienteering Club are excited to invite you to the 3rd of our Kirklees Urban MapRun Series using the Huddersfield Urban Orienteering Map.

Registration will be in the Community Room in Greenhead Park.

Parking is available on roads adjacent to the park. Enter via gates on Gledholt Road.

Due to Junior Parkrun, starts are anytime between 11.15am and 12.15pm. Please start earlier if you expect to take a long time on your course. Courses close at 1:45pm.
Please collect your map from the Community Room. The start and finish are adjacent to the Community Room.
The Greenhead Park Café, next to the Community Room, will be open from 9am.
For safety reasons, please report back to the Community Room on completing your course or retiring
Terrain: Typical parkland and urban area with alleyways, residential streets and pedestrian areas.

Entry Through www.racesignup.co.uk by Monday 1 st December 12pm. Limited spare maps available on the day (or you can use the map on your phone screen).

Courses:
Long 4.9km
Medium 3.6km
Short 1.8km
Short Park (stays inside the park) 1.4km
Note: Under 16s may only do course Short B unaccompanied. On all other courses under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
The Long and Medium courses cross into Huddersfield Town centre via pedestrian subways. Do not attempt to cross the ring road except via the pedestrian subway.
Course Short crosses roads near the park. Please take care when crossing these roads.
To add extra route choice to courses outside the park, the map includes a number of artificial barriers. These should not be intentionally crossed and should be treated the same as an uncrossable fence. Theses artificial barriers are NOT marked on the ground. Your actual route will appear after the event on the Maprun app.

Competitors are advised to wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions and are reminded that they take part at their own risk.
Results will be published on the EPOC website.
