This Halloween themed event will cover a unique orienteering area, combining the open runnable chalk downland of Coombe Hole, with the formal Connaught Park and urban night O in the Burgoyne Heights housing estate. All with the majestic Dover Castle lit up at night as the backdrop for your run and with one of the most spectacular starts of the KNC season.

Online advance registration only. 60 minute Score course. Gather at 7:15pm for briefing & walk to Start. Don't be late!

Off road parking will be via the entrance road to Fort Burgoyne off the Dover Road, CT15 5FN. W3W ///stacks.loser.seat Please park where instructed by the parking marshall.

Apres-O & prizegiving: At the Rock Rose pub, Gordon Rd, Whitfield, Dover CT16. Food (entirely optional) is available for pre-ordering on the day prior to the start. See the menu link on Saxons website. Please then pay for your own food on arrival at the pub.


If you are new to Orienteering and would like some additional help before attending an event, please check the appropriate box on the entry form and the event organiser will be in touch. There are also some helpful youtube introductory videos to watch. One by a nearby London club Newcomer Guide and another from a Manchester based club Getting Started

Location

Score 60 mins
60 minute score suitable for all abilities. 20 controls numbered 90 – 99 on one side of the map and 100 - 109 on the other. Start with either the controls numbered 90 - 99 or 100 – 109. Then turnover to the other set of numbers when you like, but no going back to the ones you started with! 10 points for each control found, -10 points for each full or part minute late back.

Juniors are under 21 on 31st December.

If you withdraw before the event, you will automatically receive a credit note for use against future Saxon events.

Timing
You should make every reasonable effort to arrive at the event in time for your allocated start time or start window, including allowing extra time to travel to the venue where necessary.

Conduct
You must adhere to the British Orienteering Participant Code of Conduct.

Medical conditions
Competitors take part at their own risk. If you have an existing Medical Condition of which the Organisers should be aware, please complete a Medical Form which can be downloaded from the Event Details on the Saxons website and hand to the Organiser in a sealed envelope. This can be collected once you have downloaded, or will be destroyed at the end of the event.

Results
Results will not be on display at the event. Split prints available. Final results can be accessed on Saxons website after the event.
