Those running the hard course should wear full leg cover and footwear suitable for the terrain. Trail shoes or sturdy walking boots are recommended.

Easy course is completely on paths and accessible for a pushchair. Please wear shoes suitable for walking the length of the course.

The medium course has a few controls just off of the path, full leg cover is ideal however, not compulsory.

The event is happening in June, please dress appropriately for the weather.

Road Crossings
All courses cross a road in the country park via a pedestrian crossing.

Runners crossing signs will be placed to warn cars of orienteers and a volunteer will be on hand to help younger competitors cross.

Please cross with care.

Hazards
The emergency contact number will be printed on the Map.

All competitors MUST report to Download even if retiring from the event.

Lone competitors are recommended to leave car keys or a valuable item at Registration.

Orienteering is a physically challenging sport. Competitors take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety.

Dogs
Dogs are allowed in the event centre. They must be kept under control at all times in the car park due to the number of people and vehicles in the area.

Dogs are allowed on the EASY course only. This is due to restrictions on bridleways in the park. Dogs must be kept under control at all times. Please do not run with more than one dog and give priority to other runners at control sites. Dog owners are liable and responsible for any situations involving their dog.
